Coco The Duo, Featuring Henare & Jane Hoani

Two guitars, sweet harmonies and a great range of songs and entertainment! The Duo are the Resident Band at The Duke of Marlborough Tavern, Russell. Also providing live music for Kauri Cliffs in Matauri Bay entertaining international high-end clients as well as other popular venues in the North including Alfrescoes, Thirty30, The Swordfish Club, Rayz on the Bay, Rocksalt, Charlottes Kitchen. On occasion the duo will team up with other musicians for another flavour and vibe, so if your looking for a full band that can also be arranged.

Their Set list includes covers from artists such as Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Amy Winehouse, Robert Cray, SRV, Motown Classics, CCR, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Bozz Scaggs, Van Morrison to name just a few as well as a broad range of Kiwiana classics from Dragon, Dave Dobbyn and Herbs etc...

​

Henry has been involved with music his entire life. He started  off as a roadie for his brothers various bands, along with well known local musicians. Moving up to sound tech for various bands and live concerts throughout New Zealand. Performing as a Bass Player, Rhythm Guitarist, Percussionist, BVs(backing vocals) and Lead Singer.

In 2014 Coco the Duo was formed with his wife Jane who comes from a very talented family of Musicians. Jane started learning guitar at 7 years of age and is influenced by players such as Mark Knopfler, Robert Cray  John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King...With Janes smoky vocals providing spot on harmonies for lead singer Henare.

 

THE DUO COCO are able to create a relaxed musical atmosphere providing ambiance to any venue. They are an ideal choice for your wedding and events, creating a very cool vibe and ambiance.
